Open to the general public, on 24 September from 16:00 to 18:00 in halls 8 and 9 of the Auditorio Kursaal, the audience will be able to attend a CONFERENCE organised by IBAIA in collaboration with Europa Creativa Desk Media Euskadi where the case study of a documentary project that has received support from Europa Creativa will be analysed in detail: LA LISTA FALCIANI.
This documentary feature, that has taken part in numerous festivals and received several prizes, narrates the controversy around banking secrecy and tax avoidance discovered as a result of the HSBC data theft by Hervé Falciani. This is a production by Gebrueder Beetz Filmproduktion (Berlin) and Polar Star Films, and with the presence of its producer, Carles Brugueras, the development of the idea, the funding, and the relationships between the co-producers as well as the international distribution of the project will be analysed.
Also, Ainhoa González, office coordinator at Europa Creativa Desk Media Euskadi, will introduce the program briefly, emphasising the aid schemes addressed to documentary works and describing the mechanisms to gain access to them.
Catherine Ulmer will be in charge of the presentation and will later chair the conference.
